Okay, so part one of our hope and dreams here in NJ came to fruition yesterday with Martin Brodeur inking his name on a 2 year contract with the New Jersey Devils. Take a deep breath and exhale now because all is right for us who shuddered and shook at the thought of seeing him in anything but Devil Red. Now take another deep breath and hold it because Zach Parise has not made up his mind yet. He is no dummy, in fact I like everything I know of this kid. Do I want him to rush in and sign a contract with the Devils? Of course but part of what makes this kid so great is his calm, cool and collected head.
Parise will take his time and with a lot of luck he will not just follow Martin Brodeur to the locker room this next season but into the playoffs for another chance at knocking out the Rangers and hoisting up Lord Stanley. Let's go Devils!!! Keep the Rock rocking for another run at the cup.
